Launch Your Career in the Health Care Industry

Become a valued member of the healthcare team! You'll learn to obtain and handle blood specimens correctly, how to perform electrocardiography (EKG), and develop an understanding of the basic anatomy and electrophysiology of the cardiac system. While taking blood and monitoring the heart are very different job tasks, many healthcare institutions combine them and look for qualified candidates with both skill sets. Both phlebotomy and EKG technicians also explain procedures and gather medical history information.

All on campus classes are taught in our health care labs.  Class size will be limited and appropriate protocol will be in place. Masks will be provided and required.  

Tuition is $2,000 including registration, fees and books. A payment plan is available. Details are available when you register.

  • Program runs for 8 weeks.
  • Weekday classes will meet Monday - Thursday from 10 am - 1 PM.
  • Week day classes start March 29 and end June 3.
  • Students receive college credit applicable to Monroe degree programs.
  • Students will have access to Monroe's Career Services Office.
  • Tuition is $2,000 including registration, fees and books.
  • A payment plan is available. Tuition can be paid in four $500 payments.
  • There are no prerequisites for this program.
